The PRESIDENT basically oversees all facets of the club, and presides over board meetings and general meetings.  She also acts as or designates a club spokesperson or community liaison for the public-at-large.

The VICE-PRESIDENT essentially assists the President in carrying out her duties, such as presiding over board or general meetings in the case of the President’s absence.  She also is an active leader in coordinating volunteers for SRMC events and activities.

The TREASURER is the chief custodian and administrator of all funds.  She keeps an accurate record and history of all money received and paid.  She reports monthly cash totals at board meetings or via board egroup and assists the President by generating any financial or fiscal reports as necessary.

The SECRETARY records and prepares minutes for the monthly board meetings.  Also, when any voting is necessary at a general meeting, the secretary keeps a record of votes and a record of attendance numbers at general meetings. 

The FUNDRAISING CHAIR oversees the planning and organization of the club’s fundraising.  This includes the organization, promotion, and volunteer coordination of fundraising events on behalf of the club.  This position is great to share with a friend!

The MEMBER AT LARGE represents the general membership as a voting member of the board.  She also introduces herself (via phone call) to new members as a liaison/contact and source of information for club events, etc.

The MEMBERSHIP CHAIR oversees the distribution of club literature to potential members and helps new members join the club.  She is responsible for checking the club general voicemail and PO Box, and routes calls to the appropriate board member (Advertising, President, In a Pinch, etc).  She also attends general meetings to help provide information to new and current members.  She is also responsible for hosting or coordinating New Member Teas.  This is a great position to share with a friend!

The PLAYGROUP COORDINATOR is the main contact person for members seeking to join a playgroup or wanting to create one.  She keeps a record of all playgroups and their representatives, and coordinates any contact with the playgroup reps and the board.

The PROGRAM CHAIR coordinates the program/speaker for each general meeting.  She also helps provide support for set-up and clean-up at general meetings.  She is the main contact person for organizations and individuals seeking to present at club meetings.

The PUBLICITY CHAIR coordinates the creation and distribution of all publicity material (brochures, flyers, articles, etc.) as well as creates or develops any press releases for various newspapers and/or publications announcing club events.

The SOCIAL CHAIR coordinates major club social events such as the Annual BBQ and Halloween carnival, as well as smaller (moms nights out) events throughout the year.  This is a great position to share with a friend!

The COMMUNITY SERVICE COORDINATOR plans, organizes, and oversees a minimum of two annual community service projects for club participation.  She also acts as the liaison to community/non-profit organizations who request assistance from our club.

The DATABASE COORDINATOR maintains and updates the membership database and directory on a regular basis.  She is responsible for printing up address labels for the newsletter and provides any other database support for the board. She keeps the Membership Chair updated on membership status, i.e. new member, delinquent/prior members, etc.  A computer and regular access to email is essential for this position.

The GREETER is present at general meetings and provides a friendly social contact for potential members and members alike.  She answers questions and provides information about the SRMC and its events.

The HISTORIAN keeps a copy of each month’s newsletter and creates a scrapbook of all club activities, including photos from members and  any PR content.

The PHOTOGRAPHER takes photos of club activities to present to the club Historian.

 The HOSPITALITY COORDINATOR is mainly responsible for providing food at general meetings.  This entails purchasing food from a budget and/or coordinating efforts with playgroups to provide food at general meetings or other club events.

The IN-A-PINCH COORDINATORactively determines the needs of individuals in the club.  Mostly this entails enlisting volunteers to provide meals for new moms or other members-in-need.

The INFORMATION RESOURCES COORDINATORprovides members with information of interest to mothers and families with young children including current events, community resources, and activities to do with children.

The MEMBER BENEFITS COORDINATOR develops and implements club programs to better serve the membership.  She maintains the current list of local businesses that provide a discount to SRMC members.  She may also develop new projects and polls to help determine & satisfy the current needs and desires of the SRMC membership.

The OUTINGS COORDINATOR sets up monthly outings to places of interest to families with young children.  An outings budget is provided and determined by the board to help offset the cost of select outings as determined by the Outings coordinator.

The SHARED INTEREST GROUP COORDINATOR keeps a record of all active shared interest groups in the club, including group representatives, group members and meeting times.  She is the main coordinator for members seeking to join a shared interest group or looking to start one.

The E-GROUP MODERATOR is responsible for maintaining the SRMC’s online community group.  This entails such duties as: approving and verifying members, managing and moderating regroup conduct, uploading events onto the group’s calendar, and troubleshooting any technical problems members may have.

The WEBMASTER is responsible for maintaining and updating the website on a monthly basis.  She handles any projects directly relating to the website, and is the main contact regarding any to queries regarding the website.

 The NEWSLETTER  LAYOUT COORDINATOR  is responsible for the layout and design of the club’s newsletter.  She also delivers the newsletter to the printing agency who prints the newsletter (currently Clone), and is responsible for final professional proof with Clone.

The NEWSLETTER EDITOR ensures that the newsletter promotes the purpose and goals of the club.  She is the main coordinator for submissions, columns, and regular content that is printed in the newsletter. She also prepares & submits relevant editorial columns when needed/necessary.

The NEWSLETTER DISTRIBUTION COORDINATOR coordinates newsletter pick-up/drop-off from the printer to the post-office.  She is responsible for labeling and taping closed the newsletter and any other necessary preparations prior to mailing.

The CALENDAR & PROOFREADING COORDINATOR is responsible for compiling a list of SRMC and community events for families with young children to submit to newsletter editor.  She also proofreads the newsletter prior to submission to the printer.

The ADVERTISING COORDINATOR coordinates and manages the advertising for the newsletter.  This involves being the first contact for ad inquires and invoicing new and current advertisers for payment, as well as initiating and maintaining contact with advertisers as the need arises.  The Advertising Coordinator works with the Newsletter Layout coordinator to keep her current on new and expiring ads.
